2009 has been an interesting year for QROPS with the events surrounding Gibraltar and updates to UK HM Revenue & Cusoms QROPS regulations etc. The early QROPS schemes around the world were somewhat expensive to set up and run and only really suitable for the wealthier expat. 2009 has seen an explosion of new QROPS schemes coming onto the market in a wealth of different juristictions. Because of our knowledge and experience, the QROPS advice team at Offshore QROPS can now find a suitable QROPS scheme for almost any expat and at reasonable cost. There are now QROPS arrangements starting from as little as £200 to set up which has only increased the accessability of brining the benefits of a suitable QROPS arrangement to the expat masses. The numbers of those leaving/looking at leaving the UK seem to be increasing also meaning a very busy time for the QROPS advisers at Offshore QROPS.
